Barcelona want to sign second AC Milan player after Kessie

Barcelona are planning to improve their attack this summer and are looking again at AC Milan for new signings.

It will be another very important summer for AC Milan. The Rossoneri will continue to improve their squad but at the same time a couple of players will leave including key figures like captain Alessio Romagnoli or Franck Kessie. Most likely the next destination of Franck Kessie will be Barcelona with English clubs apparently out of the race for his services.

Kessie will join Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the season after refusing to extend his contract with AC Milan. The Blaugrana coach Xavi Hernandez strongly wanted a powerful box-to-box midfielder to his ranks. However, Kessie is not the only AC Milan player Xavi wants to bring at Barcelona.

Barcelona are interested in Rafael Leao. The 22-year-old left winger is having an excellent season with 11 goals and 6 assists so far. Great performances that have attracted the attention of Barcelona reports Spanish newspaper Sport. This is not the first time Leao has been on Barcelona’s radar.

Barcelona are looking to improve their attack this summer with a couple of players set to leave Spain at the end of the season. Wingers like Ousmane Dembele, Adama Traore or Memphis Depay are expected to leave according to the Spanish newspaper. Xavi wants reinforcements and Rafael Leao is part of a shortlist that also includes the name of Ajax’s Antony.

Despite the interest of Barcelona, Manchester City and Arsenal, AC Milan are confident that Rafael Leao will extend his contract. The player has a verbal agreement on a four-year contract with wages of €4.5 million per season, plus bonuses. The Portuguese left winger in a recent interview expressed his desire to continue his career with the Rossoneri.
